INCEPTION
Our Company was incorporated in the year 1975 under the name of D M Industries Ltd., Initially all our business activities were confined to the production of Knit-Wear for the local market and our factory at Moratuwa started with 15 machines. In 1985 we commenced handling Sub-contract in the field of manufacture of garments for Exports. The year 1986 was a turning point in our Company history , where we started direct handling of Export orders. In 1992, we obtained Board of Investment of Sri Lanka (B.O.I) status under the 200 Garment factory programmed (200 GFP) in its effort for providing employment for the rural youth. In October 1992 we opened a factory at the ancient city of Anuradhapura with 250 sewing machines with a work force of 500. Our steady growth through the years has enabled us to be a leading player in the export garment-manufacturing arena. The knit -wear we produce are now seen in the sale floors in U.K., U.S.A, and Canada & EEC markets under reputed labels
WORK STRENGTH
Expansion project been implemented by us in 1997 and further provided 150 job opportunities totaling to 700 work force at the provincial factory and with the main plant, the work force totals to 900 direct employment with a efficient Managerial/Ad ministerial staff who provides professional consistency. We have been in the Garment Manufacturing process for 25 years.

Our annual turnover on exports exceeds US$5.0 million and our yearly growth proves that we have maintained constant quality standards, our esteemed customers require.
TECHNOLOGY
With the on going trend we have in house computerized embroidery, smocking, transfer printing and Computer aided designing, grading and pattern making and in house fabric inspection system which helps the constant quality control process. Merchandising, Office, factory provided with video conferencing and individual e-mail facilities.
FUTURE PLANS
We are in process of implementing I.S.O 9002 and 14000 with 5 S system and other standards on entire operation with Quality Management system with production and servicing, which will be completed by year 2001. In the year 2005 the USA Quota system will be eased out and our company 's vision is to promote business directly with the buyers based in United States by setting up a own trading Office, which also provides job opportunities to U.S.A. citizens. This is our aim towards quota free era.
